The "core" directory points to the MeeGo 1.1 API.  This API is stable and recommended for development.

The "platform" directory points to libraries that are available in the MeeGo 1.1 SDK but not recommended for general use and not guaranteed for future compatibility.  They are provided as a convenience for developers that need them.
